Gabriel Thomas Tugendstein

Hello There

I am an independent scholar of philosophy. Broadly speaking, I am interested in how people — intentionally and unintentionally — interpret their place in the world, and how those interpretations are influenced by social and political change. This leads me to disparate areas of study, including Moral Psychology, Philosophy of Emotions, Existentialism, Cognitive Science, and Modernist Literature.

From the fall of 2021 until the spring of 2024, I was a graduate student at Florida State University. Currently, I work at Argus Farm Stop in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

During my time at Florida State, I was the Executive Vice President for FSU's Graduate Assistants United union. I occasionally do work for the Texas Center for Justice and Equity and Convict Leasing and Labor Project. Feel free to contact me regarding those topics.

For more information on my work, check out the "My Work" tab, or get in touch through the "Contact Me" tab.
